The porcelain of Limoges

In our lounge, we use porcelain of antique Limoges of France and Rococo period made at the end of the 19th century.
Limoges is a city located in the Central Limousin region of France and has prospered with limoges porcelain and enamelware for a long time. 
In 1765, a deposit of kaoling, the main material of white porcelain was discovered in southern Saint-Tyrrier-La-Perche in Limoge. Initially, kaoling was just only sent to Sable 's National Porcelain Laboratory(later Sable porcelain) which was in the outskirts of Paris. At that time, the substitute officer Turgo who governed the administration of this place thought about trying to produce porcelain even in this place and made the first kiln in Limoges in 1771.
This is the beginning of Limoges porcelain. The antique Limoges porcelain features a romantic grass flower style of Rococo style and Art Nouveau style.
Since Limoges has been popular as a civil kiln for a long time, as a real life porcelain that combines "beauty of view and beauty of purpose", also continues to be used regularly even after the times it is.
 

 
喫茶室では、19世紀末頃フランス・ロココ期のアンティークリモージュの器を使用しています。
リモージュ（Limoges）は、フランスの中部リムーザン地方に位置する都市で、古くからリモージュ焼とエマイユ（七宝焼）で栄えた街です。　1765年、リモージュの南サン・ティリエ・ラ・ペルシュで白磁の主原料となるカオリン（Kaoling)の鉱床が発見されました。 当初、カオリンはパリ郊外にあったセーブルの国立磁器製陶所（後のセーブル焼）に送られるだけでした。この地の行政を治めていた時の代官テュルゴは、なんとかこの地でも磁器を製造しようと考え、1771年リモージュに最初の窯を作りました。 これがリモージュ焼の始まりです。 アンティークのリモージュは、ロココ様式とアールヌーボー様式のロマンチックな草花様式が特徴です。 リモージュが民用窯として古くから親しまれてきたことからも、「観の美、用の美」を兼ね備えた実生活の磁器として、世界各国の収集家たちを魅了し時代を経て今もなお愛用され続けています。
