It is a book called "living with Susie Cooper". This book became a big best seller, In a moment the popularity of Susie Cooper in Japan rose sharply. At this time the works of Susie Cooper became "antiques".

スージー・クーパーは英国の食器デザイナーです。 60年以上もの間デザインを続け、英国の20世紀を代表する女性デザイナーと言われています。　1995年、日本である一冊の本が発売されました。 「スージー・クーパーのある暮らし」という本です。 この本が大ブレイクし、瞬く間に日本でのスージークーパーの人気が急上昇したのです。 この年、スージーが他界したことも重なって、英国では、いままで「ヴィンテージ雑貨等」でしかなかったスージークーパーの価値が再評価され、マーケットは急上昇し価格が高騰化ました。 この時スージークーパーの作品は「アンティーク」になったのです。 加えてスージー・クーパーの価値を押し上げたのは、英国のコレクターではなくて日本のファンであったことは非常に特殊なケースなのです。日本人の心を射止めたスージークーパーの食器たち・・ 何故か不思議と昔の懐かしい雰囲気がしてきませんか？
