Views of Manju and Kanju Islands & the First Sunrise from the Shrine Grounds
 
Toyokoto Shrine is dedicated to Emperor Ojin as well as the successive feudal lords of the Chofu Mori clan.
The shrine grounds offer a magnificent view of the Seto Inland Sea, featuring the twin islands of Manju and Kanju. It is particularly famous for the first sunrise of the New Year, drawing many worshipers from both within and outside the prefecture. In autumn, the shrine holds its traditional Moon Viewing Festival (Kangetsusai), where visitors gather to admire the moon reflected over the tranquil sea.
